This is a general statement calling for appropriate management and organizational practices. It also requires an Organization to apply its own values in the workplace – to “practise what it preaches”. A civil society organization is expected to foster a working environment compatible with its goals and objectives. For example, an Organization that espouses sustainable human development on a global level will also organize and manage its work and its workplaces according to sustainable human development principles.
