Administrative Assistant

Title: Administrative Assistant

Supervisor: Finance & Administrative Officer

Term: Flexible (part-time)

Classification: Volunteer

The Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC) is a coalition of Canadian voluntary sector organizations working globally to achieve sustainable human development.  CCIC seeks to end global poverty, and to promote social justice and human dignity for all.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Finance & Administrative Officer, the Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support and assists with logistical arrangements for special events, board meetings and annual general meeting.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in logistical arrangements of special events, board meetings as well as annual general meeting.
  • Order, receive, and distribute office supplies.
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, bookkeeping (accounts receivable), mailing and filing.
  • Support staff in assigned project based work.
  • Other general administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of a post secondary degree or diploma (such as fundraising, event management, communications).
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities despite interruptions
