A New Deal between CIDA and Canadian NGOs (March 2011)

Canadian NGOs are looking for a “new deal” with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Changes at CIDA's Partnerships with Canadians Branch and the controversy about Kairos' defunding have lead to a confidence crisis. Canadian organizations working in partnership with CIDA are in doubt about whether they can rely upon CIDA’s public standards. CCIC is calling for a new Cooperation Agreement which would set out shared principles and commitments to support each other's work.
